Position Overview


Assessment that informs intervention, research that supports innovation, professional development that empowers practice, and training that prepares future practitioners.
Integrated Services in Education (ISE) provides a practicum experience for graduate students in School and Applied Child Psychology and Counselling Psychology programs to develop skills appropriate to their areas of study. The clinicians in ISE are graduate students who are applying assessment skills under the supervision of Clinical Supervisors, who are Registered Psychologists. Within this mandate, ISE also strives to provide quality, lower cost services to members of the community. Presently, ISE provides psychoeducational assessments for children, approximately 5 to 20 years of age, including those transitioning into and out of K - 12 schooling. Additionally, ISE offers a reading intervention program for children in Grades 2 to 4.

ISE is looking to fill one position for a Registered Provisional Psychologist commencing January 1, 2018. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team to provide assessment and intervention services to children, youth, and families in a University based training clinic. The incumbent will also have ample exposure to teaching, professional development, and supervision.


1. Working 7 hours a day for 48 weeks between January 1, 2018 and January 1, 2019.
2. Four weeks of personal time during the year contract; three during scheduled University breaks and one negotiable.
3. Reception to meet, greet, and book clients.
4. Administrative services provided to create and close files and manage payment.
5. All essential resource materials and supplies provided.
6. Supervision provided as outlined by the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
7. Salary plus statutory benefits.


1. Registered as a Provisional Psychologist with the CAP.
2. Strong psychoeducational assessment training.
3. Excellent command of English language, written and oral/verbal.
4. Computer literate.
5. Experience working with children and youth.
